Hi...It's Mo I worked in Lloret from 1975 through 1981 in The Moby Dick, The Picadilly, and Photo Lloses (sp) I would love to hear updated news of Spike, George Stewart, Ian Colligan, Andy and many more I'll have to dig deep in my memory cells. Whenever happened to Ted Law? I haven't been back but would love to someday. I have lived the past 30 incredible years in Orlando married with 4 children...we love to travel so maybe a reunion would be an excellent excuse to return.

I am trying to place you cos I was in the Picc in 76, then went into the moby, pink panther and most of ted's pubs before working in lloret transfer for ted and then onto photo lloses. Spike is still in Bolton I believe, he is married to Peta and has a daughter. Ian Colligan died in a motorbike accident I believe in the USA, he was still with Phil at the time. Do you remember Bob Jackson, Barry Chesson too?

Nooo, I liked all our chats on here and loads of members are not on facebook. F/b drives me mad half the time and you end up with all those bloody virus', I am sick of things popping up on my lap top that I don't know anything about. Hope things are OK with you Jackie, I thought you were usually on the Costa del Sol at this time of year, have you given it a miss this year.

Hi Jill I'm sorry for not replying sooner but I've only just seen your your last mesage on here! The message board does seem to be slipping a bit these days....even the comments on the old stuff are getting less and less...but it is still as popular as ever. I can tell how many views it gets per day, maybe I should ask for a few more comments to be put on the old stuff for those such as Shuggie who doesn't do Facebook. I never wanted to but I joined facebook when Stevie ( Buzzbys) died so I could keep a check on what was happening when we were down on the costa de sol. Yes, we've given it a miss this year Jill, i think we've had enough of the place now. A lot of the family and friends we got to know down there have gone home so it was getting a bit boring. So the money we saved we've decided (or should i say i decided) to get new windows in our apartment:) Will we see you over here at all this year Jill? If not hope you have a great summer xx

New windows, ha ha, anyone would think you were an old married couple (only joking) lol. Don't know what I am doing this year but I will probably be over at some time, especially now that the flights are back on from doncaster. I have a few weekends away planned and maybe a week in portugal but as yet, I havn't booked anything else. i would like to try and do greece this year, not been before but who knows what will happen.
There have been quite a few new members recently, do they know they can go beyond the first page, I am only asking cos I am useless on the computer and I wondered if they were worried about going to the next stage ha ha x We will have to think of a new string and see if we can get a few comments x (Failing all else, we will have to get a few page 3 girls on here instead of us old sods) x

Jill....we are an old married couple!! The viewers are still finding the site Jill....and the photos keep coming in. I thought that we would be running out well before now, but no...!!
The flight from Doncaster is great for you, I'm glad its started again cos its ideal for Albie and his mates. I'll be having a few days back in Leeds soon I've not been for about 18 months now, but I'll use the Barcelona to Leeds flight when I go its much easier for me. xx

There has been quite a change in Leeds in the last 18 months so you will notice a difference I am sure. The flights from donny are convenient, especially with them going to girona, it makes a lot of difference to the travelling time. Have a lovely Easter, we're doing a bit of a pub crawl tomorrow I think (not very christian I know), but hey ho, no work monday so it will make a nice change x

Hi. I've just discovered this website and spent the last two hours walking down memory lane! I first came to Lloret in 1967 on holiday and returned for a short time in 1968 during which time I worked at The Istanbul. I then came back in 1974 and spent the season working at the 'Sundoor ' for Jurgen who also had 'The Maratim' . I remember Maggie from Scotland whose favourite saying was "Cheers Big Ears" . I also worked in the Moby Dick for Ted during the winter and then in a Viajes up near the market the next summer. I was great friends with Roger and John and was very sad to hear John passed away last year. I returned several times for holidays and then came back to work from1980 to 1982 when I travelled down every two weeks with a coachload of clients. I've got many photos packed away and will try to find time to sort them out.

Hi, i worked in lloret and fanals in '91-'92, Just found this site and i've been having a great time reminiscing. There don't seem to be many users on here from when i was there though.
I stayed at Picasso's for a month or two when i first arrived, i remember arthur and wendy, there was also a guy there called pete, from newcastle, great fun!
I worked at a place called "Jokers pub" on senia del barral. had some great times and laughs with all the other props round about. Especially Morven who worked at the seven seas pub. I ended up staying in the apartments above there, Does anyone remember fat willy, soapy etc?
Eventually i got a job at the duke of wellington in fanals(it was next door to buzzbys), had the best time of my life, the duke of wellington is now a kebab house called "himalaya" Am having fun at the moment using google street view to see all my old haunts.
I'd love to hear from any one who was there at the same time as me
I'm the one who used to wear john lennon sunglasses all the time!
cheers

Just got back from visiting Lloret on my way to the Barcelona GP. Found my way from the old Don Quixote in Fanals eventually as it's all one now. Went to my old haunts...Texas...Sportsman ( still ace) but most we still shut. The place hasn't changed that much and I've give every penny I've got to turn the clock back to '84 and have another season there.......I was amazed how many people have stayed, and some of them I would never of guessed.
If anyone knows Janice from Blanes who was the intersun rep please give her my regards, apparently she is still there working according to some people I met in the Sportsman. As a dedicated player that I was she was the one that got away.....couldn't even get her to have coffee.....one of my life's big failures!
Dee from Cosmos / Ferris Holidays

She told me about the sept one this but im back here on that date but i will deffo be going back without question. Never forgot the place really, it was always in the back of my mind. quick question Jill if you don't mind? I used to stay in a pension owned by a couple who ran a paella restaurant below it. I can't remember the name of the restaurant but her name was Judy (English), her husband was called Emilio (Spanish)? It was situated in the Northern part of the old town somewhere near Harrods / Rockies. Where i used to work for Bob. Just wanted to know if anyone remembers it, there where a few of us there in those years and by god we had a laugh! Cheers Russ xx
