Pat, We are goig to a place called Greve En Chianti. There should be about 25 of us there for my wifes (Sheila) birthday. With a name like Sheila and then Kelly (Ned) her name goes down well in OZ. Us from down under children from Madrid and Ibiza with grandson and the rest from England and Scotland, we should make a dent on the Vino sales in the village. We will be there from the 9th May until the 23rd May. Really looking forward to it.

May bank holiday suits me, can't wait Billy. Last time we picked a hotel in Fanals and those that could booked in there. We had a friendly travel agent, posted the name and a lot of people that lived outside Europe just rang her and she did it all for them. Don't know if that helps

Sounds great, Fenals would definately be good, there are a few nice hotels there. Mo and me are just back from Lloret, met the usual crowd, Hammy, Stew Reilly, Andy Milroy, Sax and a few more. Fenals has grown so much, now stretches way past Papalus, soon be joining up with Blanes. Much easier now just to book over the internet than it was in 1997, maybe someone over there can negotiate good prices for a big group.

Jeff Marshall's wife is called Gerry. I still see quite a lot of them, Jeff bless him is usually obliging with airport pick ups etc. He usually stays with me when he comes over to the UK however, he is not a good guard! One time he came someone threw a breeze block through my window, the double glazed unit exploded like a bomb and Jeff didn't hear a thing. He got up the next morning and wondered why the living room looked dark!!! Bless him.

He use to come over to liverpool/warrington every few weeks to see his Mum but I think she has died now so he doesn't get over as much. I have his phone number if you want it, let me know and I will send it in a private message. He and Gerry live in Blanes, just near the hospital. They are both doing fine. Jeff had serious heart surgery years ago, but he seems to have got over that really well. He drinks in Buzbys in Fanals, usually in there about tea time unless they are going out for the evening. Gerry is still working on the coaches as a tour guide. They lived in Holland for a lot of years before returning to the land of sunshine and san miguel.

Hi I'm Miranda, came to Lloret on holiday in 1988 (bit later than most of you chaps), met the lovely 'Captain' (Martyn Smith from Bedford), who worked in the Western Saloon. Hooked up permanently and returned together in 1989 when I worked in Yates, TNT and Western Saloon. We shared an appartment with Pete McEvoy (Ginger), firstly above Magic Park - where Tracker visited us on a regular basis (bike et all) and later shared an appartment above Seven Seas. Still come back to see Derek (Grandad) and Jude about once every other year. Our daughter - 17 soon - has already stated that she'll be frequenting the bars and pubs next year looking for gainfull employment! - what can you say? The Captain and I have been happily sharing our lives ever since and will have a quick look through the old photos once in a while - and still chuckle.

Hi I'm Malc Coombs and i worked in Lloret for 8 years from 1978 to 1985. My first job was working briefly for the Brittannia then for the rest of my first season for Ernie at Foto Lloses. The next year i worked for Hammy propping for La Cala, then after that propping for Maxims 'till it got burnt down (that was when Sean and Xavier had the place)- after which i worked for Juan at the Zodiac and the Hollywood. my last season i worked for the Garbi on the door . Never had a better time since.

Jill, if you look at the photo of Maxims prop team I'm on there with some other people you might recall. Albie i know though i doubt if he would know me, but when you work for a long time in a place like Lloret you end up on nodding terms with everyone. In all the time i worked in Lloret i never worked in any of Teds places although my photo round included the 1925, mobys disco and briefly the piccadilly. I seem to recall that Albie was a good football player. l

Ha ha, he liked to think he was good on a football pitch! Will have a look at the photo. We use to spend a lot of time in Maxims when Robbie was the manager and Big Paul was the prop manager, but that was in 77. Hammy was and still is a good mate of ours, we were at his 50th a couple of years ago which was one hell of a party. Despite our ages, we still know how to rock, the bloody birds were singing when we eventually left the texas at breakfast time the following day. I keep trying to find my photos of that bash to post on the site but unfortunately, I don't know where I have put them as yet

Jill, I noticed from one of the other pages that you were enquiring about Barry Milroy. The first season i worked in Lloret i shared a room with him at a pension off of Paris Square above the Montevideo. The last i heard of him he was living in Ayr. we got on really well and he came to visit me in Coventry, where he asked if he could come to the match with me to watch Cov City as he'd never seen an english match. We were in the ground for about 5 minutes before we were chucked out by the police for swearing. He loved working at the Rob Roy and had the strongest scottish accent. Top bloke.

He is a big mate of Billy Fraser and they still keep in touch in fact, Billy gave me his mobile number recently although I havn't rung him yet. It is a bloody small world isn't it. We are all still intermingled in one way or another, even after all these years. We definately all had the time of our lives. I think I am going over at the end of July for a few day to see my Daughter, hopefully around 29th July. Cant wait

Hello Billy its Malc Coombs here from sunny Coventry, if you ever speak to wee barry please pass on my best wishes to him and mention about being kicked out of the cov City v Aston Villa game. It was my fault really for getting over excited and i can still remember him cringing that he'd been ejected from the ground through no fault of his own. When he came to visit me he always brought along a selection of the finest scottish foods too.

Malc I can't remember you saying you got thrown out of Highfield Road. There can't have been many left that day, wasn't it the time when they used to introduce the crowd to the team before the game. Of couse I am joking... come on you Sky Blues

Frankie, Norrie hasn't mentioned St. Mirren since Rangers beat them in the semi-final. I think Love Street's a Tesco or something now.
Malc, wee Barry's living down near Brands Hatch but he spends 6 months a year in Thailand. Me and my missus and Billy the Bear & Val were at his 50th about 4 years ago and it was some night.Let me know if you want his number.
