I'm TommyDoc from Greenock. Went to Lloret for the first time in 1984 with Pat Maloney. Helped renovate Rabbie Burns and Churchills for Hammy and Alan, then worked in the Boars Head in Fanals for a couple of nights when it first opened. Then helped Russell Black out in The Village Inn. Spent most of the summer in The Robin Hood (fun pub) working for Sean Cody.
Not enough people know about this website.

Tokyo Joes is back in operation after being closed for months. It's had a complete make-over, Colin and Justin style, so I don't go in. The 'spoons' pub is called The James Watt, cheapest pub in town.

Anybody heard from David Henry ( Fish ) or Tommy McKinnon .. I also worked for a while in the Royal Oak opposite the Boars Head when Brendan ran it .. Memories oh memories

Linda, no, I only worked in 1984, me and Maloney on the 'magic bus' from London Victoria, but went on holiday in 1986 and 1989.
Max..., the Lloret 'veterans' used to meet in the Black Cat in Greenock on a Friday afternoon, Maloney, Fish, Tommy McKinnon and Russell Black, with occasional appearances from everybody else. In 1984 there were 13 of us from Greenock, at least, and three from Port Glasgow. I now 'work' in the Green Oak in Greenock on a Friday (pub quiz etc.) but the only Lloret worker that comes in is Big Tommy Juszczack.
Sometimes see Fish in town, but not many others. Pat Maloney lives and works in London. If I bump into any one else I'll pass this message board on.

Hi Ian, I was with Derek yesterday for a few drams down in Fremantle, had a good time I was telling him it was time he sent in some photos, I also said about Jimmy Plumb being in the photos this week. You are obviously trawling your way through the photos, some great memories. The wedding photo,,, I,m not in it either, I think I was behind the bar, you and I must have been the only two in Lloret that day working, but wasn't it great. Great to hear from you, all the best to you and your family Shuggie.

Tommy, can you remember all the names of the workers from Greenock and Port Glasgow in 1984?

Tommy Docherty, Pat Maloney (lurks on here), Russell Black (posts on here), now in no particular order, Stevie McIntyre, Paul Christie, Graham Doberman, Kenny Sinclair, 'Robie' (Alan Robertson, I think), Tommy McKinnon, David Henry (Fish), Graham Bryce, Peter Fletcher, Ged Black, there was also quite an attractive girl from Port Glasgow, but I cant remember her name, and Paul's girlfriend was also there for a while. But that's all I can remember at the moment.
I was sitting with Kenny Sinclair outside 'The Village Inn' one day and we counted, 13 Greenockians and 3 Portonians, but he named a couple I didn't know.
