Never thought I'd see the words ''attractive'' and ''port glasgow'' in the same sentence but there you go. Was there not 3 birds from Port Glasgow, doc? I think you're talking about Christine and Muriel (sisters) and their mate Suzanne. And aye, okay, they wurnae bad.

Hi Tommy, Stevie McIntyre here, that was a good effort remembering the names, I can hardly recall any surnames or faces. I'm pretty sure I worked most of the season in Rabbies that year when it opened in Fanals along with many shifts in Churchills and a few nights in the 3 Musketeers. Was 84 the year we stayed in the pension near the Mini Bar, I think...

No Pat, I forgot Christine, Muriel and Suzanne were there in '84, did they not come out for a holiday, then stay? I have a photo of them in the Robin Hood with Jim McKillop and Jim Daisley. Wee Ann was there with Paul, and the Port girl went out with Captain Boogie for a while. Can't remember where she worked.
Aye Stevie, we started off in the Mini Bar Pension but at the end we stayed in an apartment with Warrington Jimmy, above the Musketeers. Remember the football?, I don't know if I was flattered or offended when you said "I didn't know you could play". Hammy said something similar, but it didn't stop him sacking me after I rewired the Rabbie.
Bomshankar, I haven't seen Doberman in years, and only occasionally see Paul. He works away, but gets round the pubs when he comes home.

Don't remember much about the football but I do remember the flat now, yes, Jimmy worked in the Muskies going back 83, 82 as well I think with a bloke from Paisley, Dermott but he didn't go out in 84. I'm sure I met up with them all in Paisley in the winter, Jimmy was going out with the girl from Glasgow that worked in Churchills, can't remember her name. I remember Hammy sacking you, problem was that you were the same breed as him so he didn't get as much fun giving you a hard time as he did me, being the token Celtic supporter. He reminded me everyday for the whole season, still good laugh though watching him beat up the local staff and the odd punter.
Is Paul Christie still in Greenock?

Bom, I don't know Jimmy's surname. The Texas was one of the few pubs I didn't get to drink in, 'Scotch Corner' was the local, then 'Rob Roy' and 'Sportsman', when I wasn't working. I have the 1984 picture outside the 'Rob Roy' on Scotland v. Englandshire day, everybody is on it, but I don't have a scanner at the moment. I'll get it uploaded when I get a new scanner.
Steve, I think it was 'Karen' that Jimmy was seeing. On the subject of Hammy.... I questioned him about how much water he was putting in the tomato sauce containers, half-and-half it seemed like. When you tilted the sauce containers the tomato came out like water. I asked if he "watered it down like that in his own house", he said "aye....just not as much".

Jimmy Millman's working as a postman in Warrington and is married with a daughter. He did work in Paisley with Dermott McColgan then he had a pub in Fuengirola for a while. I keep telling him to get on this site. Might see him tomorrow and remind him.

I last saw Dermot McColgan in 2003 in his pub in Gibraltar called The Three Roses. I travelled through on a bus he organised to the UEFA cup final in Seville that year. Don't know if he's still in Gibraltar. Doc, bumped into Jim Daisley a couple of months ago in Bairds Bar in Glasgow. He was going to a gig by From The Jam next door in the Barrowlands. So was I but don't tell anybody. The highlight of the night was getting a drink off him. Never thought I'd see the day.
McIntyre, Paul works in England mostly but still lives in Greenock. Last saw him at a public image ltd. gig in Glasgow just before christmas. About a week after I saw Daisley. Talking of football, I remember always putting the ball through your legs and generally taking you to the cleaners. Did the same with Doc as well. Pair of dumplins.
